The Phactor

This piece here, is for our new web comic series called the Phactor. It's a spinoff of Blood Shed and follows the case files of the London BCU (Behavioral Crimes Unit)
as they figure out...the factors of criminal behavior. The web comic will be up in a few weeks. The first Blood shed web comic will be up soon as well. Taking up where we left off in our printed issue 3. The Phactor web comic mini site is already up. You just have to go to doubleeye.com, hit comics, the phactor, and your there.

Das Colors!

I am learning to color better using some tricks of the trade I have learned through a helpful email from Takeshi Miyazawa, and also my local creator comrads Marc Deering, and Otis Frampton. Otis has great info on his blog, and I followed the links to some damn good info. I have started playing around with this Bshed cover idea I did a few months back.

Funky Fresh, and yes yes yallin!

I met Jamar Nicholas a few years back at the Small Press Expo, I was pushing Blood Shed issue 0, and he was pushing the Jamar Chronicles. I was really impressed with this dude, and enjoyed his book. Not too long ago he created this character called Detective Boogaloo, I love this webcomic, I love the characters, I love the old school hip hop vibe. Mike Wieringo did a sketch of Det. Boogaloo, and it was awesome! It inspired me to do a little sketch, my joint aint know where near as good as Wieringo's, or Jamar's, they are both fantastic artists, but I was inspired so I thought I would sketch something up. So here it is. If you wanna check out Jamar's Blog hit the link at left.

I got that Luchini

Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede at their best baby! Camp lo, one of my favorites. They got that 70's vibe. Check it!

The Pencils

Here are the Warm up pencils. I was kinda inspired by the World Cup, so I decided to do a pinup of Amanda Storm, our central character in Blood Shed.

Cover Concepts

Damn! This is my first post of the year. Well here is a cover concept I am working on for Blood Shed. I am also attempting to ink my work for the first time. Although my inks will not be as good as Dave Bryant or the Master Marc Deering, I am still gonna give it a shot. Hopefully I will continue to get better.
