Check out reruns this summer.

Fern....

Below is a message from CBS Entertainment.

June 6, 2007

To the Fans of Jericho:

Wow!

Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series. You got our attention; your emails and collective voice have been heard.

As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of “Jericho” for mid-season next year. In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more “Jericho,” we will need more viewers.

A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available.

We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks.

At this time, I cannot tell you the specific date or time period that “Jericho” will return to our schedule. However, in the interim, we are working on several initiatives to help introduce the show to new audiences. This includes re-broadcasting “Jericho” on CBS this summer, streaming episodes and clips from these episodes across the CBS Audience Network (online), releasing the first season DVD on September 25 and continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return. We will let you know specifics when we have them so you can pass them on.

On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of “Jericho” in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference.

Sincerely,

Nina Tassler

President, CBS Entertainment

P.S. I can't wait for series 2 on BBC America. They have already finished Season 2 in the UK, and even planning a spin-off series called Ashes to Ashes.

This is the wiki on Life On Mars. Check it out if you can, I know it's out on DVD in the UK, I have not seen it here yet.

The format of the series mixes science fiction – specifically, time travel – with police drama. The central character is DCI Sam Tyler of Greater Manchester Police (played by John Simm), who, after being hit by a car in 2006, finds himself somehow transported back to 1973. There, he works for Manchester and Salford Police CID as a DI under DCI Gene Hunt (played by Philip Glenister). Over the course of the series, Tyler faces various culture clashes, most frequently regarding differences in his approach to policing compared to that of his colleagues. The series also features a strong ambiguity concerning Tyler's predicament: It is unclear whether he really has travelled back in time, is in a coma in 2006 and imagining his experiences, or if he is from 1973 but mentally unstable.dt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-16783193631173788682007-05-26T19:26:00.000-04:002007-05-26T19:31:30.865-04:00Happy 30th Star Wars!<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilE3HQ-W3VuXHpgD8Xs0Dp35AQqFUwIZz5fPPJ2hnDLHw6LP28ctrgqrcsgHRgBRVqyd9K0g7Qg6DfKCEzDLfDuBkVamRwYbjPtYsHfvQ1_AXs2BDUPFJ8rSwVl3vSY4t7xWm2/s320/obi.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5069016019203492722" />

Yesterday, Was the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars! The promise of passionate support isn't enough to save it or make you believe that you've made a mistake. Proven formulas work. The CSI trend is successful because the show's original concept was innovative for dramatic TV, even though viewers had already seen similar stories in documentaries on other channels. Therefore, creating other CSI shows is understandable. The same can be said for Survivor and Amazing Race. Reality shows are successful, although it took a while for Amazing Race to catch on. Fans of that show are extremely passionate and loyal. The same can be said for Stargate. Once that show moved to Sci Fi, it did better than ever. The viewers of Jericho are more likely fans of shows such as Heroes and Lost. We fans must wonder what CBS didn't do to support its own show. We fans have no doubt that CBS may never realize how lucrative Jericho could've been. A new show such as Pirate Master may be successful but more likely will never surpass the initial success of Survivor. The show that brings in overwhelming ratings must have an innovative concept - that requires risk (time and money). Meanwhile, we fans must remain content with formula shows.

Fern

    Fernhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05857419743158207203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-4562036127909246382007-05-17T19:47:00.000-04:002007-05-17T19:55:42.350-04:00lunch doodles<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCmdpkl3oN_HbWa9msFuqGnHmoCE1m7Pvt8l7c2_0TvkTO9Q2EugejzKmqNliOSIQPXpSfgcn1zzuL9orucrbqwEiaM51vYqjAXVRmJBBEZ2UVO0oQ4mZVZlgNTToAPy6NZPAu/s320/trident_sketch.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065682347192716066" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2FpDOrAgSVCP444jhMly5k7PadSI-uWzasav-S3aEDjRwl60QLeeOVT9stEdI8dK4ysEoS_uP5Q4DXQ5W2bkg7nCq53HE2tM17pgnFHh7ROIr0wsct578dwOCLZMk8-Yp9bN3/s320/doodles.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065682128149383954" />

Just a couple of joints sketched up while scarfing down my sandwhich at lunch today.
One, is just a goofy cartoony sketch of yours truely, and the other is of Amanda Storm, one of the main characters in our book Blood Shed.dt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-37682427192593471762007-05-17T14:16:00.000-04:002007-05-17T14:27:01.137-04:00Fern's Birthday<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAOegqV7mzAFKzISfr8FQqY6uqfzSneNrKVIxkUea-hRryIJqIqZ7i0liWFTFiKAlQuKt-c1zj0_-T7Ww2QLsruitEJLC_8jE3-FQvOU_nGykmyx_E4AKtbKJr4LGQ2h8TnUSC/s320/Loganlifeclock.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5065597607487965954" />

Well It's Fern's Birthday tomorrow, my significant other turns...well we wont say her age, perhaps she will be renewed!! Anyway..this has been a hard year. Some good people close to me have passed away, and it really makes you think about your life, and where you are going with it. I am not so much of a deep introspective person, but with the death of my friend Joe Davis, I have been pushed to internalize, and contemplate what matters to me, and what I want most for myself.
My day job consumes my life, long hours, overtime...leaves little time for things I enjoy. Comics!!!! So I am going to try damned hard, not to let other life issues get in the way of the things that I enjoy doing. Drawing, and comics. I still have to work and pay bills mind you, but I will make a stronger effort to do what I love. With that said...I am scanning, lettering, and halftoning the new Blood Shed Comic. We are putting it on the web along with it's spin off series the Phactor. So stay tuned...more to come.

DTdt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-1157064214128066522006-08-31T18:40:00.000-04:002006-08-31T18:43:34.140-04:00ReworkedKinda reworked the logo, and title a bit. It's a spinoff of Blood Shed and follows the case files of the London BCU (Behavioral Crimes Unit)
as they figure out...the factors of criminal behavior. The web comic will be up in a few weeks. The first Blood shed web comic will be up soon as well. Taking up where we left off in our printed issue 3. The Phactor web comic mini site is already up. You just have to go to doubleeye.com, hit comics, the phactor, and your there.

dt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-1156384414346673272006-08-23T21:41:00.000-04:002006-08-23T21:53:34.356-04:00Das Colors!I am learning to color better using some tricks of the trade I have learned through a helpful email from Takeshi Miyazawa, and also my local creator comrads Marc Deering, and Otis Frampton. Otis has great info on his blog, and I followed the links to some damn good info. I have started playing around with this Bshed cover idea I did a few months back.

DT

dt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-1153711734878242342006-07-23T23:21:00.000-04:002006-07-23T23:28:54.886-04:00Today's sketch sessionI Sketched this herr lady up this evening as a warm up. I was really impressed with this dude, and enjoyed his book. Not too long ago he created this character called Detective Boogaloo, I love this webcomic, I love the characters, I love the old school hip hop vibe. Mike Wieringo did a sketch of Det. Boogaloo, and it was awesome! It inspired me to do a little sketch, my joint aint know where near as good as Wieringo's, or Jamar's, they are both fantastic artists, but I was inspired so I thought I would sketch something up. So here it is. If you wanna check out Jamar's Blog hit the link at left.

dt washingtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16225813641871089620noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12337542.post-1153424459231876492006-07-20T15:40:00.000-04:002006-07-20T15:40:59.320-04:00I got that Luchini

Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede at their best baby!
